It is hard to define when it is actually valid for a mod to accept an answer for another user's account and that would probably be too much power (I'm not saying mods are going to misuse that, just that it's hard to say when this is really 100% applicable). There is just nothing to be done than properly informing the users about how it works and hoping for them to internalize it. As much as we would like users to post "good" questions and answers, we would like them to know how the site works. | |
