But it would have been quite helpful if you'd been explicit about why you'd created a community wiki. Having said that, this post may be of interest to you.

There are a variety of reasons why people leave hints, or even full answers, in comments, but if you want to post an answer (ideally with some more detail) then that's totally fine - don't worry about "stealing" someone else's work.
